Science

  • The scientist is not a person who gives the right answers;
    he is one who asks the right questions.

  • Science is not meant to be taught in a vacuum. It provides a critical foundation for understanding the world around us. Teaching only the product of scientific work (the facts of science) denies students critical tools of understanding. To get a more complete picture, students must also understand how those facts came to be. Teaching science as a process of inquiry and explanation helps students think past the subject matter and form a deeper understanding of how science applies broadly to everyday life.
